Greece, as it has been repeatedly underlined, calls for the creation of humanitarian corridors from the cities of Ukraine, in cooperation with the International Committee of the Red Cross, in order to ensure supplies for the civilian population, as well as the possibility of their evacuation to safer areas.
On our part, we continue to follow the dramatic developments with great concern, especially in the area of Mariupol, where Diaspora Greeks have been living for centuries, while the Consul General, Manolis Androulakis, is still there.
We call on everyone to respect humanitarian law and to refrain from targeting civilians.
Greece is making every possible effort in this direction.
