Spreading the word through SAPS recruitment drive

The South African Police Service in Maletswai embarked on a recruitment drive on 16 August 2023, to spread the word about the 2024/2025 Basic Police Training vacancies that are available nationwide.

This following the wonderful news of the age limit that increased from 18 to 35 in order. The message was shared through radio broadcasting at Takalani Community Radio Station where Captain Ursula Roelofse, explained to the listeners at home about the requirements for the recruitment process.

Captain Ursula Roelofse told the listeners that the application forms are available at any nearest police station, she emphasized that the application forms are for free in addition to her statement she encouraged everyone who meets the requirements to apply before 31 August 2023.

The SAPS recruitment drive later on continued during the day at the shopping center in Maletswai with their gazebo set up for the whole town to be able to recognize the face of the SAPS, the curiosity made the community members to come and hear what the setup was all about.

Cst Mini from the District Social Crime prevention office and the interns at Aliwal North Police Station Bonolo Ralebese and Lutho Mgetyengana assisted in distributing the pamphlets and painting the town blue through posting the recruitment posters.

Many were informed and eager to join the women and men in blue through applying.
