Ouagadougou: The Minister of Sports, Youth and Employment, Ms. Annick Pikbougoum, received a delegation from the Institute of Public Finance of Burkina Faso (IFPB). Led by its Director General, Mr. Barthelemy Dabre, the delegation presented a sports project led by the Institute, aimed at strengthening sports participation and developing its infrastructure.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Institute of Public Finance of Burkina Faso is the umbrella organization that brings together two leading institutions: the National School of Financial Management (ENAREF) and the National Customs School (END). It hosts numerous trainees, mostly young people. The director general highlighted that sport serves as an important tool for education, discipline, and instilling values in these learners.
The presented project aims to upgrade existing sports facilities within the Institute, with the objective of enabling the hosting of elite competitions, including the second division championship which already takes place there, while making these facilities accessible to trainees and the public for the practice of mass sport.
Minister Annick Pikbougoum listened attentively to the project, expressing enthusiasm that was welcomed by the delegation. She also offered guidance, particularly regarding the integration of grassroots and fitness-focused sports, which had not been initially planned. These recommendations were taken into account by the project team.

She encouraged those behind this project, which aligns perfectly with the vision of the highest authorities, to promote inclusive, accessible, and structured sport, serving training, social cohesion, and raising the national sporting level.
