Burkina Faso has provided support to Russia, as part of the special military operation it launched in February 2022 in Ukraine.

“I can assure you that the situation Russia is currently experiencing with the special military operation, you have the support of the people of Burkina Faso and the support of our government,” President Ibrahim Traoré told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
