Sourou: The special delegation of Tougan adopts an initial budget of 168,762,188 FCFA for the year 2026. The fourth ordinary session of the year 2025 of the Municipal Consultation Framework (CCC) took place from Thursday 20 to Friday 21 November 2025. This session primarily focused on the adoption of the initial budget for the year 2026, which was set at 168,762,188 FCFA.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the special delegation of the commune of Tougan, located in the province of Sourou, conducted this session under the leadership of its first official, Ouigou Tiendrebeogo. Following thorough deliberations, the budget was unanimously approved by all participants, including an allocation of 33,649,461 FCFA specifically for investments.
The discussions, which brought together several local development stakeholders, revolved around the review and adoption of the draft initial budget for Tougan’s 2026 fiscal year. At the opening of the proceedings, Mr. Tiendrebeogo noted that due to the suspension of mining funds and the transfer of powers, municipalities would need to rely on their own resources, such as local taxes and levies, for development.
Jacques Omar Drabo, the accountant of the Tougan town hall, led the session’s work and presented a detailed report. The report covered several points, including the renovation and rental of town hall shops and kiosks, development of green spaces, and various tax payments, including those on livestock, cereals, and import/export products.
In closing, PDS Ouigou Tiendrebeogo called upon all stakeholders to actively participate in the development of the commune. He urged the sons and daughters of Tougan to return and invest locally, emphasizing the importance of tax compliance to meet the objectives set by the special delegation.
