Special Delegation and Students Lead Cleanup Initiative at Ouri Market

Tehran: As part of the 3rd edition of the Days of Civic Engagement and Participation (JEPPC), members of the special delegation, supported by primary and secondary school students, cleaned the grounds of the new market and its surroundings, in a patriotic spirit.

According to Burkina Information Agency, this eco-citizenship activity saw strong participation from young children who came to express their love for their country alongside their parents and caregivers. Armed with brooms and rakes, they cleared the market of all plastic bags, household waste, and the stalks from some of the stalls that were lying on the ground. After nearly two hours of cleaning, the market had a new look with a very clean environment.

Praising this commendable action, the Vice-President of the Special Delegation of the municipality of Ouri, Yacouba Lougu©, offered his sincere thanks to the municipal staff, the residents, the teachers, and especially the students who spared no effort in supporting this initiative. The municipal authority also took the opportunity to address the schoolchildren on the occasion of this activity. "This activity was decided upon by the highest authorities of our country," he stated. "I urge you to make cleanliness a part of your daily life, both at school and at home, as it will protect you from certain diseases linked to poor hygiene," he declared.

For his part, Biyiekoa Bako, a mechanic at the market, described the activity as 'Faso Baraa,' a demonstration of patriotism. He also offered blessings for the country and the President of Burkina Faso. "May God bless and protect the President of Burkina Faso and bring peace back to our country," he said. This cleanup day concluded in a warm atmosphere, and the special delegation promised to clean other sites in the village.
