Ouagadougou: The President of Faso, Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traor©, welcomed the special consular delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso (CCI-BF) for an audience this Tuesday morning. The meeting was facilitated by the Minister in charge of Industry and Commerce. Roland Achille Sow, the president of the special consular delegation, along with his team, presented themselves to the Head of State following their installation on June 19.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Roland Achille Sow expressed his gratitude to President Traor© for his congratulations, encouragement, and guidance. These insights are expected to assist the delegation in fulfilling its mission effectively. Sow assured that his team, known as the "8 VDPs of the Burkinabe economy," is committed to revitalizing the economic sector of the country. They aim to strengthen the institutional framework of the Burkina Chamber of Commerce.
The meeting follows the government's decision on December 18, 2024, during the Council of Ministers, where they adopted special statutes for the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and dissolved the consular chamber.
