According to Namibia Press Agency, Pedro Sanchez, born in Madrid in February 1972, has been a prominent figure in Spanish politics for over a decade. He holds a doctorate in economics and has played a significant role within the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party, serving as its secretary-general. His political career includes two terms as a member of the Spanish Congress of Deputies, first from 2009 to 2011 and again from 2013 to 2016. Sanchez first assumed the role of Prime Minister in June 2018, securing re-election in January 2020 and again in November 2023.
