Poni: The 7th edition of the Southwest Arts Festival (FASO) will be held from October 29 to November 2, 2025. The Association for the Development of Culture La R©f©rence announced the main points of this edition during a press conference at the Gaoua multipurpose hall.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the festival will be themed “Cultural integration in the service of peace, social cohesion and socio-economic development in Burkina Faso: the role of clothing art.” Several major innovations are planned, including competitions for young people under the Bambino Show program, guided tours of tourist sites in the Southwest region, and open days at the Museum of Civilizations of the Peoples of the Southwest. Additionally, free cervical cancer screening sessions and a gala dinner titled “Let’s consume local,” aimed at promoting local products, are scheduled.
The registration period for the competitions is open from May 17 to June 17, 2025. The Southwest Arts Festival, created in 2017, aims to become a significant cultural event in Burkina Faso. It is spearheaded by the artist Petit J©sus, also known as PODA Nifabome Romuald Pascal.
