Sourou: The first ordinary session of the year 2025 of the Municipal Consultation Framework (CCC), was held on Thursday, June 5, 2025 to discuss the issue of solid waste management in the city.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the special delegation of the commune of Tougan in the province of Sourou convened under the leadership of its first official, Ouigou Tiendreb©ogo. The session aimed to gather various city development stakeholders to address the theme: “The problem of solid waste management in the city of Tougan.”
During the session, Ouigou Tiendreb©ogo, President of the special delegation of the commune of Tougan, emphasized the necessity of organizing the Municipal Consultation Framework to tackle issues affecting the socio-economic aspects of the community. He encouraged stakeholders to actively participate in the commune’s development activities.
Tiendreb ogo highlighted that the meeting’s focus on solid waste management was essential for improving sanitation and enhancing the living conditions of the population. He stated the objective was to identify operators who could assist the municipality in household sanitation, waste collection, transport, and disposal at designated sites.
Luc Drabo, Sourou’s development focal point and participant in the meeting, expressed satisfaction with the discussions. He stressed the importance of increasing such forums to foster sanitation awareness and communication, emphasizing that sanitation is a collective responsibility.
