Sourou Retirees Rally Behind Local Defense Volunteers with Supportive Donation

Sourou: The Sourou Retirees Association has demonstrated its support for the Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) by donating supplies valued at 104,000 FCFA in Tougan. The handover ceremony, held at the municipal police station, was attended by the president of the Tougan Special Delegation (PDS), Ouigou Tiendreb©ogo, and several special delegation members.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the donation includes essential items such as Nescaf©, Lipton tea, and sugar. Mamadou Zerbo, president of the association, emphasized that this gesture aims to support the ongoing efforts to reclaim the territory. He expressed the association's solidarity and gratitude towards the fighters for their daily sacrifices.

Sergeant Dieudonn© Bassono, representing the 52nd RIC, received the donation on behalf of the VDP. He acknowledged the donors, noting that this support serves as an additional motivation for the forces engaged in the territorial reconquest.

Ouigou Tiendreb©ogo, PDS of Tougan, praised the retirees' initiative. He highlighted the significance of their gesture, recognizing the challenges retirees face. Despite these challenges, they made sacrifices to support the VDP, and Tiendreb©ogo encouraged all citizens to emulate their example.
