Ouagadougou: Christian faithful in the city celebrated the resurrection of Christ on Sunday for peace and social cohesion. Monsignor Prosper Bonaventure Ky, Bishop of the Diocese of D©dougou, celebrated with the Christian faithful of the city, on Sunday, April 20, 2025, the Easter feast marking the resurrection of Christ at the parish of Notre Dame de l’Assomption. During the celebration, the bishop invited all Christians to behave in a way that promotes the return of peace and social cohesion.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the parish priest, Father Daniel Zerbo, reported that a total of 136 faithful were baptized during this celebration of Christ’s resurrection. These included 62 adults who were baptized and confirmed, and 74 children who received the sacraments of baptism. In addition to these baptisms, 12 promises of Christian life were recorded in the parish, indicated Father Daniel Zerbo.
