Ouagadougou: The D©lwend© Association for Community Development (ADC-D©lwend©) distributed 10 professional installation kits comprised of 26 pieces of equipment to 11 young people and women trained at the Naaba Boulga Vocational Training Center. The event took place on Friday, July 31, 2026, in the presence of administrative authorities, parents, and partners.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the distribution ceremony was held under the patronage of F©lix Kabor©, an elder from the locality. This initiative marks the conclusion of the training activities at the Naaba Boulga Professional Training Center, aligning with the theme: "One kit, one job, one future: let's mobilize for the professional integration of young people and women and the preservation of our environment."
The association's General Assembly initiated a community sponsorship program in May 2026, aiming to gather support for the professional integration of young people and women. The contributions from donors enabled the creation of ten installation kits, each containing essential equipment such as sewing machines, welding tools, and looms, which were distributed among five women, five girls, and one boy.
Jean Baptiste Kabor©, president of ADC-D©lwend©, emphasized that the initiative is designed to facilitate the socio-professional integration of those trained at the center. He highlighted the satisfactory progression of students, noting that all dressmaking first-year students advanced to the second year, and a significant majority of welding students progressed successfully.
The success rate for the Professional Qualification Certificate (CQP) stood at 63.6%, with the welding program achieving a 100% success rate. Despite these positive outcomes, Kabor© pointed out that the primary challenge remains integrating trained individuals into the workforce.
Between 2023 and 2025, only 35% of beneficiaries managed to start a business or find employment, with 21 out of 60 individuals achieving integration. The association is calling for additional support to acquire the remaining 29 pieces of equipment needed, valued at 1,575,000 CFA francs, to enhance the professional integration of young people and women.
Abibou Semd©, the provincial director in charge of family and solidarity, praised the community mobilization efforts, aligning them with government priorities. She urged beneficiaries to become role models in their respective fields and achieve economic and social independence.
F©lix Kabor© expressed gratitude for the solidarity extended to the learners and encouraged beneficiaries to utilize the equipment effectively. Dieudonn Kabor congratulated the school management on their accomplishments and wished the learners success in their careers.
Founded in 2009, ADC-D©lwend© focuses on vocational training, socio-economic integration, and local development. The Naaba Boulga Vocational Training Centre, established in 2011 and rebuilt in 2022, has trained 205 individuals in tailoring, traditional weaving, and welding.
