Soum: The president of the special delegation of the commune of Arbinda, Lazard KIEME, handed over food supplies to 68 families of Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) who fell on the front, a donation offered by ZINA Massamoudou, a son of the commune of Arbinda and trader residing in Ouagadougou.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the handover ceremony took place in the presence of traditional and religious authorities, the representative of the commander of BIR 28, as well as VDP officials. The donation consists of 3.4 tons of rice, 6.8 tons of sorghum, 680 liters of oil, and 1,360 balls of soap, intended for the families of the VDP who fell in the struggle to defend the homeland.
Boyi Maga, representing the chief of the Arbinda canton, welcomed this gesture of solidarity towards the families of the fallen fighters. He invited other sons and daughters of the commune to follow suit in order to support the families of the fallen VDP, while urging the population to pray for them and to encourage those who continue the fight on the ground.
The representative of the VDP, Amadou Tao, expressed his gratitude to the donor. According to him, this support is a source of comfort for the VDP engaged in the fight, as it shows that the families of their fallen comrades are not abandoned.
The president of the special delegation of Arbinda, Lazard KIEME, welcomed the donor's initiative, which he presented as proof of the attachment of a son of the commune to his locality. He also called on the sons and daughters of Arbinda who have the means to support the VDP and the families of fallen fighters, stressing that the need for support remains significant.
