Souleymane Lonfo Elected President of Center-East Regional Football League

Center-East Region – Souleymane Lonfo was elected as the new president of the Center-East Regional Football League during a general assembly held on Saturday. The election, which saw the participation of numerous football players from the region, resulted in Lonfo winning by an absolute majority.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the election was conducted smoothly in the meeting room of the regional sports and leisure department. Lonfo’s predecessor, Mathieu Oleapekoum, displayed sportsmanship as he congratulated the new president, offering his assistance for future endeavors.

Lonfo, a former footballer and captain of Boulgou FC, was elected under the banner of Sigri FC of Tenkodogo, where he currently serves as the PCA. In his new role, he aims to focus on training players and organizing competitions across all levels. Additionally, Lonfo has urged local community members to collaborate in promoting football throughout the Center-East region.
