SONAGESS Reopens in Djibo, Offering Economic Relief to Locals


DJIBO — The SONAGESS premises in Djibo, which had been shuttered due to ongoing insecurity, reopened on Monday, April 22, 2024, signaling a significant step towards normalcy for the local population.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the president of the special delegation of the commune of Djibo, the reopening ceremony was conducted that morning. In a move to stabilize local market conditions, the price for a 50 kg bag of corn has been set at 6,000 FCFA. The organization has also implemented a structured order of passage for the municipalities to streamline access and minimize potential disruptions.
