The report states that SONABHY achieved a turnover of 192.856 billion CFA francs, while SONABEL reached 19.618 billion CFA francs. The overall performance of state companies for the year was primarily driven by the financial success of these two entities.
The increase in SONABHY’s turnover is attributed to the removal of the subsidy on the price of diesel for industrial companies, the rise in the price of Super 91 at the pump, and the high consumption of diesel and Super. For SONABEL, the report notes that the reorganization of its tariff schedule since October 2023 and the expansion and strengthening of its network significantly boosted the number of subscribers, contributing to its strong financial performance.
