MOGADISHU, SOMALIA – The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia, Mr. Hamsa Abdi Barre, met with the leadership of Turkey’s Ziraat Katilim Bank following the recent inauguration of their new branch in Mogadishu.
According to Somali National News Agency, the meeting was also attended by the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Ibrahim M. Yagli.
During the discussions, Prime Minister Hamsa Abdi Barre expressed gratitude to the bank officials for their investment in Somalia. He emphasized that the new branch would have a positive influence on the economic relations between Somalia and Turkey. The Prime Minister highlighted the abundant business opportunities in Somalia and stressed the importance of strategic investments to harness the country’s natural resources for the benefit of its citizens.
The meeting symbolizes a mutual commitment to strengthening economic ties and exploring avenues for shared growth, setting the stage for enhanced economic prospects for Somalia.
