Somali Minister of Justice on Official Visit to Cairo for Arab League Justice Committee Session

Cairo, Egypt – The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs of the Federal Government of Somalia, His Excellency Hassan Moalim Mohamud, along with his delegation, has arrived in Cairo for an official visit.

According to Somali National News Agency, the visit was prompted by an invitation from the Minister of Justice of Egypt, His Excellency Omar Marwan. The delegation includes the Attorney General and a Judge from the Supreme Court of Somalia.

The Somali delegation is in Cairo to attend the 39th session of the Justice Committee of the Arab League. This session presents a significant platform for discussing key justice-related issues in the Arab region. The meeting between the two justice ministers will focus on strengthening the justice systems in both countries and enhancing bilateral cooperation.

This visit signifies the growing diplomatic relations between Somalia and Egypt, particularly in the realm of legal and judicial collaboration. Discussions are expected to cover a range of topics, including judicial reform, legal cooperation, and the exchange of expertise in the field of justice.
