Solidarity Shines in Tenkodogo as Traders Support Families of Defense Volunteers.

Tenkodogo: The Union of Traders and Assimilated Workers of Tenkodogo (UCAT) has extended a generous hand to the families of Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) by donating food items valued at 1,800,000 CFA francs along with a cash gift of 100,000 FCFA. This act of solidarity took place in the royal courtyard, witnessed by several key figures including the president of the special delegation, the mission manager of the presidency of Faso for the Centre-East region, the representative of the VDP, and members of UCAT’s executive office.

According to Burkina Information Agency, El Hadj Sana Kabirou, the president of UCAT, encouraged his fellow traders to continue their support despite the challenges faced in the trade sector. He emphasized the ongoing commitment to collecting food to aid both the families of VDP at the front lines and the orphans affected by the conflict.

ders for their timely assistance to those in need. He highlighted the traders’ understanding of the crucial role they play in supporting the fighting forces, noting that “UCAT has always been there to support local authorities.”

The VDP representative also conveyed the military authorities’ gratitude for the traders’ solidarity. Meanwhile, Adaman Kamboné, a mission officer of the presidency of Faso, praised the traders’ dedication and called on all citizens to emulate their example to support the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the VDP in their quest to restore security and peace in the region.
