Solhan Security Forces Distribute Food to Vulnerable Populations at Ramadan’s End

Solhan: The Defense and Security Forces (FDS) of Solhan carried out a distribution of food to vulnerable people on March 19, following a collective breaking of the fast, AIB observed. The initiative was aimed at providing aid to internally displaced persons (IDPs), widows of fallen Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDPs), and neighborhood leaders in the area.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the Solhan security forces offered food consisting of rice and spaghetti in a ceremony held on the evening of March 19, 2026. The event coincided with the collective breaking of the fast marking the end of the month of Ramadan. It saw the participation of religious and customary authorities, heads of communal services, as well as the beneficiaries themselves.

A representative of the security forces stated that the gesture was intended to promote the values of solidarity and sharing, while urging the population to remain mindful of the vulnerable. He highlighted the importance of strengthening social cohesion and collaboration between the defense forces and local communities, extending his best wishes for the holiday.

The beneficiaries' representative expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting its symbolic timing. He thanked the security forces for their ongoing support of IDPs and the widows of VDPs who died in combat, while also wishing for lasting peace in the country.
