Solenzo’s Wayiyans Clear Roadside to Enhance Security


SOLENZO — The Wayiyans of Solenzo mobilized local residents to clean the roadsides at the city’s exit along the Bobo road, aiming to improve visibility and security for defense forces.



According to Burkina Information Agency, provincial president of the citizen watch group, the effort was initiated to remove shrubs and tall grass that obstruct visibility, particularly for the security forces. The work, which spanned from Solenzo station to the city’s exit, was carried out by men and women wielding machetes. Coulibaly emphasized the importance of ensuring that defense and volunteer forces (FDS and VDP) can see clearly from a distance to avoid hidden dangers such as venomous snakes. The Wayiyans plan to continue clearing other road exits from the city in the coming days.
