Solenzo: The team from the 2nd A class emerged victorious on the evening of Saturday, May 9, 2026, securing the trophy in the final of the Principal’s Cup at Banwa Provincial High School.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the final event took place on the school grounds, attracting a crowd of football enthusiasts, students, parents, and staff. The match saw 2nd A face off against 1st D, concluding with a narrow 1-0 win for 2nd A.
The victorious team was awarded the trophy and a prize of twenty thousand CFA francs, while the runner-up, 1st D, received fifteen thousand CFA francs. The event underscored the unifying power of sports, as highlighted by the sponsor, Moussa OuEdraogo, who emphasized sport as a universal language that fosters unity and reconciliation.
