SOLENZO - A significant contribution was made to the Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland (VDP) in Solenzo on Saturday, with the donation of 20 Sanili motorcycles and 500,000 FCFA for operational expenses.

According to Burkina Information Agency, who spoke on behalf of the anonymous donor, the donation was funded by a native of Solenzo along with his family and friends. The contribution is aimed at enhancing the mobility and operational capacity of the VDP in their efforts to maintain security in the region. "It is a son of the municipality of Solenzo, his family, and his friends who paid for these motorcycles for the VDP. They also gave 500,000 F for fuel but the donor refuses to be named," he noted during the ceremony. Abdoul Kader Kongzabré, the Secretary General of Banwa province, expressed his pride in the donation and encouraged other community members to support similar initiatives across the province. In addition, the association of Solenzo retirees also presented 50,000 FCFA to support peace efforts during the same event.
