Zamo: The Zamo departmental high school in the Sanguie province became the focal point for a solemn flag-raising ceremony dedicated to nurturing civic duty and patriotism. The event was presided over by Mr. Pema Florent Neya, representing the Presidency of Burkina Faso in the Nando region, alongside Mr. Mamadou Ouattara, the Prefect and President of the Special Delegation of Zamo municipality, and Ms. Rasmata GrSce Guingane, the provincial director of secondary, vocational, and technical education for Sanguie.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative seeks to extend across all ten municipalities of the Sanguie province, with an aim to instill fundamental values such as respect, discipline, solidarity, and responsibility among students. These values are considered essential for social cohesion and communal living.

The ceremony included a presentation by the provincial director on the origins of the Popular Progressive Revolution (RPP), encouraging students to embrace the seven values promoted by the RPP through a participatory teaching approach. Moreover, the issue of drug use in schools was addressed, highlighting the associated risks and promoting responsible behavior among students. The presentation reportedly garnered significant interest from the audience.

The Special Representative commended the provincial director for her impactful presentation and relevant messaging. He emphasized the importance of acknowledging the efforts of the Defense and Security Forces (FDS) and the teaching staff, whose dedication is vital for building a strong nation.

Following the event in Zamo, the provincial director visited other general education colleges in Nemelaye, Carrefour, and Baporo to understand the local educational environment. She expressed gratitude and encouragement to educators, reaffirming her commitment to support their mission of educating future generations.
