MOGADISHU – The Commissioner of the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA), Mohamud Moalim, held a meeting with the Chinese Ambassador to Somalia, Fei Shengchao, in Mogadishu to discuss bilateral cooperation, particularly in the humanitarian sector.
According to a new release by Somali National News Agency, both parties explored avenues for strengthening the relationship between Somalia and China, with an emphasis on humanitarian aid.
Commissioner Mohamud acknowledged the contributions made by the Chinese government in addressing various calamities such as drought and floods. He noted that SoDMA is at the forefront of preparing for El Nino-related disasters.
