Sissili: The Secretary General of the Sissili Province, Baowinsida Bingo, representing the High Commissioner, presided over the official installation ceremony of the new Provincial Director of Family and Solidarity for Sissili, Mitbrinda Kabor©, in L©o. He replaces the promoted Regional Director, Camarade Larissa Kanyala, whose interim role was filled for eight months by Pascal Bationo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting room of the high commission in L©o was packed with judicial, military, customary, and religious authorities who gathered to witness the handover of responsibilities at the head of a strategic directorate for social cohesion in Sissili.

Before the installation ceremony, the outgoing Acting Provincial Director, Pascal Bationo, presented a report for the 2025 fiscal year. The department achieved a 97% completion rate despite financial constraints. Key achievements included resolving numerous cases of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), family mediation, and the enrollment of over 150 internally displaced children (IDCs) in school. The Acting Provincial Director emphasized the importance of solidarity, acknowledging partners such as the STAF train station and the NGO GRET.

The ceremony included an emotional speech by Kanyala Larissa, who is now the Regional Director of Family Affairs for Nazinon. She shared her restored health journey during her tenure in L©o and encouraged her successor to continue efforts that benefit the community.

Henri Damiba, the spokesperson for the mutual association of provincial directors and heads of services, praised Kanyala's dedication and commitment, which he noted as a path to higher responsibilities.

After his official installation by Secretary General Baowinsida Bingo, the new Provincial Director, Mitbrinda Kabor©, expressed gratitude to the authorities. He highlighted the importance of teamwork in managing Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and promised a management style based on listening and consultation.

In closing, Secretary General Baowinsida Bingo reassured the incoming Provincial Director of support from the provincial administration.
