S©no COGES Adopts 392 Million FCFA Provisional Budget for 2026

S©no: The Management Committee (COGES) of the Urban Medical Center (CMU) of Dori adopted, on Thursday, during its ordinary general assembly, the provisional budget for the 2026 financial year of the health structure in the amount of 392,750,000 FCFA.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the chief physician of the Dori CMU, Dr. Gr©goire Som©, stated that the meeting allowed for a review of the activities carried out in 2025. The past year witnessed a decrease in cases of meningitis, cholera, and yellow fever in the Dori health district. Dr. Som© attributed this improvement to enhanced vaccination campaigns and awareness-raising activities aimed at the population.

Dr. Som© further noted that the Dori CMU employs 111 agents, consisting of both state officials and contract workers, distributed across various departments. For the 2026 fiscal year, the projected budget stands at 392,750,000 FCFA. He highlighted that 44.31%, or approximately 174 million FCFA, will be self-financed by the CMU (Universal Health Coverage), while the health district will contribute 1.19%, amounting to 4,640,000 FCFA. The remaining 214,050,000 FCFA is expected to be sourced from partners.

The vice-president of COGES, Hamidou Moussa Dicko, commended the efforts of the health staff and urged the population to increase their involvement. "We expect total commitment from the population in order to help the CMU implement actions to improve the quality of care," he said.
