Djoro: The governor of the Dj´r´ region, Siaka Barro, visited the artists representing the region at the National Culture Week (SNC), at their accommodation, in order to encourage them. Accompanied by his technical advisor, the High Commissioner of Poni, and the provincial directors in charge of Culture, the governor indicated that he had come to demonstrate the support of the administrative authorities to the various cultural actors.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Mr. Barro stated, "We came to visit our ambassadors to encourage them, inquire about their living conditions and offer our support for the smooth running of their participation." He also urged the artists to show discipline and solidarity to proudly represent the Dj´r´ region.

The governor promised to attend the performances of the various troops as per his schedule. For the provincial director of culture of Poni, also acting regional director in charge of Culture, Albert Hema, this visit constitutes a mark of consideration which further motivates cultural actors. He expressed his gratitude to the regional authority for this initiative.
