SNC 2026: Governor Patrice Yeye Galvanizes the Troops and Wrestlers of Tannounyan

Bobo-dioulasso: The governor of the Tannounyan region, Patrice Yeye, made a field visit to Bobo-Dioulasso on Thursday as part of the National Culture Week (SNC) 2026. He successively attended the competitions of the National Grand Prix of Arts and Letters at the House of Culture, then the traditional wrestling events at the Wobi stadium.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the top official of the region came to show his support for the artistic troupes and wrestlers of Tannounyan involved in this great national cultural event. Paying close attention to the performances, he expressed his pride in the quality of the performances delivered by the representatives of the region.

Continuing his tour, the governor visited the accommodation site for the various Tannounyan delegations. In a friendly and motivating atmosphere, he delivered a strong message of encouragement to artists and athletes: 'You are the living ambassadors of our cultural identity. Through your talent, courage and discipline, you proudly represent the Tannounyan people. Continue to believe in yourselves, to surpass yourselves and to demonstrate a spirit of conquest,' he insisted.

Mr. Yeye praised their commitment and resilience, despite the challenges, while urging them to remain focused and united. 'Every performance is an opportunity to raise our region even higher. Don't just participate, aim for excellence and victory,' he urged.

In a show of concrete support, the governor also reaffirmed his own willingness, as well as that of the regional authorities, to support the troops and wrestlers, both morally and logistically. He thus pledged to strengthen the conditions for their preparation and participation in upcoming events. "We will be by your side to build even more brilliant successes together."

The ambition is clear: to make Tannounyan a reference during the SNC 2026 in Bobo-Dioulasso, with a significant harvest of distinctions as a result, he assured. This visit will undoubtedly have given new impetus to the representatives of the region, determined to defend their cultural heritage with honor and brilliance.
