Ouagadougou: The excellence award, or diamond award, in the category of companies employing more than 100 people, was awarded yesterday Friday to the Société Nouvelle Huilerie et Savonnerie (SN Citec) for the quality of its managerial approach, during the 13th Burkinabe Quality Award.
According to Burkina Information Agency, the Burkinabe Agency for Standardization, Metrology and Quality (ABNORM) awarded 12 official prizes as well as special prizes to companies or public and private organizations in the country that have distinguished themselves by the quality of their management system. SN Citec received two special awards, including one from the Ministry of the Environment for its mastery of waste management, protection and preservation of the environment, as well as the diamond award in the category of companies employing more than 100 people.
SN Citec CEO Ibrahim Traoré expressed his pride in all the players who contributed to this success and assured that “the most relevant methodologies will be ident
ified” to enable the company to maintain its level of excellence. In the same category, the gold and silver prizes were not awarded. The bronze prize was awarded to the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Burkina Faso (CCI-BF).
In the category of companies employing between 20 and 100 people (category B), the Burkina Infrastructure Works Agency (AGETIB) won the diamond prize. Gold, silver, and bronze were awarded respectively to the National School of Financial Administration (ENAREF), the Higher Polytechnic School of Youth (ESUP-J), and “Faso Atiéké”.
In category C, dedicated to companies with between 1 and 20 employees, the companies HARRY’S CONSULT, AFRICASOFT SARL, and ETT PRO won bronze, silver, and diamond respectively.
The Minister in charge of Commerce, represented by the Secretary General (SG), Oumarou Barro, congratulated the winning companies for their resilience and recalled that “the organization of the Burkinabe Quality Prize aims to improve the culture of quality and to encourage public and
private organizations to put quality at the heart of their activities.” SG Barro also invited companies to engage in a process of producing quality goods and services to build a sovereign and resilient economy, with a view to satisfying the national market and conquering regional and international markets.
32 public or private companies took part in this 13th edition of the Quality Award, compared to 25 in 2023.
