The Smart Africa alliance and The Open Group have entered into a collaborative effort to develop a cohesive Government Enterprise Architecture guide for the African continent. This partnership aims to standardize and streamline digital infrastructure across African nations.

According to Africa News Agency, Under a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), both organizations will work together to promote, guide, and build capabilities for the development of a unified Government Enterprise Architecture framework. This collaboration includes conducting a nationwide survey and hosting focus groups to understand the current state of Government Enterprise Architecture within member states.

The partnership aligns with Smart Africa’s central objective of establishing a unified single digital market in Africa. This initiative is expected to pave the way for more integrated and efficient digital governance and infrastructure across the continent, reflecting a significant stride towards technological and economic integration within Africa.
