According to Burkina Information Agency:ccording to Burkina Information Agency, the initiative brought together Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland (VDP) from the commune of Pô, in a collaborative effort with the Regional Blood Transfusion Center (CNTS) of Ouagadougou. Assétou Ouattara, the president of the Association, highlighted the importance of such efforts in supporting the CNTS, especially at times when the need for blood is critical.
Captain Abass Saidou Niampa, the provincial coordinator of the VDP, emphasized the dual commitment of the FDS and VDP in Pô: to both reclaim national territory and save lives through blood donations. The drive was also praised by Viviane Ouédraogo/Ilboudo, who led the CNTS mission in Ouagadougou, noting the potential life-saving impact during the holiday season when the demand for blood products, particularly due to traffic accidents, increases.
