The provincial director of post-primary and secondary education in Sissili, Mimtiri Oualbéogo installed on Wednesday October 4, 2023 in Léo, the new principal of the municipal high school of the said city, Yemdaogo Pierre Nikiema, in his position.
The new principal of the Léo Municipal High School (LML), Yemdaogo Pierre Nikiema was officially installed in his position on Wednesday October 4, 2023, within the premises of the said establishment by the provincial director of post-primary and secondary education of Sissili, Mimtiri Oualbeogo.
Mr. Nikièma replaces outgoing principal Henri Damiba in this position, who spent 15 years at LML.
The president of the Parents’ Association (APE) of the high school, Boureima Emile Guiguemdé thanked the outgoing principal Damiba for the numerous actions taken in favor of the LML
Mr. Guiguemdé, on behalf of the parents of the students, expressed all his recognition and gratitude for all these years of support at the service of the Léo municipal high school.
He also i
nvited the new principal of LML, Yemdaogo Pierre Nikiema to continue the work of his predecessor.
And to reassure him that parents will always be at his side to improve the working conditions of teachers and high school staff.
The staff representative, Saïdou Bouda praised the outgoing principal for his humility, his frank collaboration and love of a job well done.
He explained that his dynamism and leadership allowed the municipal high school to be in the firmament regionally and provincially, in terms of better results in various school exams.
To this end, Henri Damiba was delighted with the fact that he has been able to manage the Léo municipal high school since taking office at the head of this establishment on September 19, 2011.
Mr. Damiba praised the combined efforts of all stakeholders for the many achievements made during his management at the head of the LML.
According to him, out of 127 candidates presented for the Brevet d’études du premier cycle (BEPC), 72 were declared admitted and out of
138 for the Baccalaureate A4 and D, 117 were declared admitted.
According to him, on a sporting level, the high school won the very first cup of the provincial director of post-primary and secondary education of Sissili and the same team obtained the USSUBF cup on the regional level.
He expressed his gratitude to his hierarchy and to the town hall for all the support. Mr. Damiba congratulated his successor Mr. Nikiema for the trust placed in him to manage the Léo municipal high school.
The incoming principal, Yemdaogo Pierre Nikiema also expressed his deep gratitude to his hierarchy for this mark of confidence in him. He says he understands the immensity of the task that awaits him and intends to work towards achieving the expected objectives.
He also reassured his colleagues and parents of his availability to meet the challenges facing the LML. To do this, Mr. Nikiema says he places his management on ‘Democratic and participatory governance’.

on of Sissili, Mimtiri Oualbeogo and the president of the special delegation of the commune of Léo, Kassoum Koalaga thanked the outgoing principal for everything he did for the municipal high school and the education system in the province.
According to Mr. Oualbeogo, the outgoing principal constitutes an example for him. ‘I relied on Mr. Damiba to make the provincial directorate of post-primary and secondary education in Sissili operational,’ he confided.
They finally reassured the incoming principal of their availability to support him in carrying out his mission.
