Sissili: The Nakanbe Regional Directorate of Social Protection organized an awareness workshop on social security for local workers in Leo. The objective was to familiarize participants with the legislative and regulatory texts governing social security for workers in the public and private sectors.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the workshop was chaired by the Secretary General of Sissili Province, Baowindsida Bingo, and gathered around twenty workers. The trainers highlighted the importance of reporting accidents and occupational illnesses. Yoni Moussa Charles, a technician, stressed the necessity for public sector workers to file reports for sick leave or work accidents to ensure they recover their rights and prepare for retirement.

Participants expressed appreciation for the workshop and hoped for its continuation to ensure better dissemination of information on social protection. Saidou Ouedraogo, secretary general of the Leo town hall, noted the opportunity to better understand occupational risks and related procedures.
