Sissili Education Officials Aim for 95% Pass Rate on CEP Exam

Sissili: The Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Sissili, Soungalo Traor©, led a capacity-building session for CM2 teachers in the Basic Education District (CEB) of Silly. The session, held on April 15, 2026, aimed to prepare educators to meet the performance objectives for the Primary School Certificate (CEP) examination.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the meeting took place at the Agro-Pastoral Training Centre and brought together educational supervisors, school directors, and CM2 teachers. The focus was on sharing educational strategies to enhance student performance. Soungalo Traor© emphasized a collaborative approach, stating, "I don't have a magic wand to help you achieve 100%, but I can nevertheless share my experiences, advise you, and support you to demonstrate our clear commitment to achieving at least the 95% success rate we have set for ourselves."

Participants discussed challenges such as understanding problem statements, student disinterest, mastery of oral expression in French, and mathematical operations. In response, educational supervisors and the provincial management team shared methodological tools, including techniques for problem-solving and text comprehension.

Additionally, Traor© clarified the requirements for the presentation booklet, specifying the inclusion of five songs, one of which must be the national anthem in the national language. The session concluded with participants expressing confidence in their ability to guide students toward success in the upcoming exams.
