Sissili Analyzes Educational Achievements and Plans for Upcoming School Year

Leo, Burkina Faso – The provincial director of post-primary and secondary education in Sissili, Mimtiri Ouabeogo, chaired the first council of the 2023-2024 school year on Friday, November 17, 2023, in Léo.

According to Burkina Information Agency, head of the school examinations and competitions department, there was a noticeable increase in exam success rates for the 2023 school year compared to 2022. The provincial directorate oversaw 15,224 students across 365 classrooms for the 2023-2024 school year. The number of students registered for various 2023 exams included 2,768 for the BEPC, 1,324 for the BAC, and 35 for the BEP.

The council meeting, which brought together heads of educational establishments, social partners, and department heads of the provincial directorate, was an opportunity to review the past year’s exams and plan for the 2024 school year. Ouabeogo emphasized the importance of these management councils in the effective functioning of provincial educational management.

Ouabeogo expressed his appreciation to all the participants for their substantial contribution and urged them to continue working collaboratively despite the challenging conditions facing the country and province. He stressed the importance of maintaining a resilient education system, which he believes is achievable through the collective commitment of all involved parties.
