Significant Fuel Donation Boosts Fighting Forces in Gnagna


PIÉLA — El Hadj Oumarou Damiba, CEO of Yentella SARL and a notable economic operator, donated fuel vouchers worth 2 million francs to the fighting forces in the towns of Bilanga, Piéla, and Bogandé, located in the Gnagna province, on Sunday, September 1, 2024.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the contribution aims to support the FDS (Defence and Security Forces) and VDP (Volunteers for the Defense of the Homeland) who are actively involved in reclaiming national territory. El Hadj Oumarou Damiba, returning to his native village of Piéla for the first time in two years, expressed his motivation to assist the forces after witnessing their dedication along his journey. Each of the groups from Bilanga, Piéla, and Bogandé, as well as BIR 19, received fuel vouchers amounting to 500,000 francs.



The ceremony, held in Piéla, was attended by Boureima Taram, president of the special delegation of the Piéla commune, along with other key community figures and VDP representatives. Boureima Taram expressed gratitude on behalf of the administration and the forces, emphasizing the potential of such gestures to inspire further support for the troops.
