Share Vital Information With The Police, Urges DCC


Butere residents have been encouraged to share vital information with the police in a bid to improve security in the area.



Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Hassan Hussein said sharing of vital reports and tipoffs with the police would lead to a reduction in crime.



He said the criminals were best known among the locals and they should be willing to report them to the police for necessary actions.



‘The criminals live amongst us. We need to weed them out by reporting to the police and be arrested,’ he said.



The DCC who spoke in his Butere Sub County office Wednesday welcomed any move to identify the culprits.



‘We need to share intelligence with the police to curb insecurity in the area and arrest the offenders,’ he added.



The DCC said weeding off the wrongdoers would lead to peaceful co-existence and everyone will feel secure enough to perform their duties diligently.



He said the police would increase patrols to assure the area’s security and sustainable peace and security in the region.



‘Vital information will be shared anonymously with the police to ensure the citizens are protected from the armed criminals,’ he said.
