The Namibian Police Force is currently investigating the incidents, which spanned from 2020 to October 2023.
According to Namibia Press Agency, Deputy Commissioner Frederick Ndjadila, the Crime Investigations Coordinator for the Oshana Region, disclosed that the first assault occurred when the victim was only three years old, with the suspect also significantly younger at the time. The situation came to light after the victim reported bleeding to an uncle following an assault. Despite being informed, the stepfather failed to take the child to the hospital.
Ndjadila further revealed that the child had been raped by the same suspect in 2020, but instead of receiving medical treatment, she was bathed in salt water. The case was onl
y reported to police this Monday, nearly a year after the most recent incident, by the victim’s 26-year-old mother. As of now, the suspect has not been arrested, and the police investigation is ongoing.
