Seven New Ambassadors Present Credentials to Burkina Faso’s Regional Cooperation Minister


OUAGADOUGOU—Minister Stella Eldine KABRE/KABORE, Delegate for Regional Cooperation, received illustrated copies of the Letters of Credence from seven newly accredited ambassadors to Burkina Faso on Thursday.



According to Burkina Information Agency, the diplomats include:



HE Joann Lockard, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America to Burkina Faso, residing in Ouagadougou;
HE Selma Mansouri, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Democratic and Popular Algerian Republic to Burkina Faso, residing in Ouagadougou;
HE Christophe Bazivamo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Rwanda to Burkina Faso, residing in Abuja, Nigeria;
HE Antonio Guillen Hidalgo, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Spain to Burkina Faso, residing in Bamako, Mali;
HE Armando Albino Afara, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Guinea Bissau to Burkina Faso, residing in Dakar, Senegal;
HE Barthomiej Zdaniuk, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Poland to Burkina Faso, residing in Dakar, Senegal;
HE General Major Anjum Enayat, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Burkina Faso, residing in Tripoli, Libya.
The new ambassadors expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and their commitment to strengthening and developing cooperation between their respective countries and Burkina Faso. Minister KABRE/KABORE welcomed them and wished them success in their mandates. She outlined Burkina Faso’s vision for bilateral cooperation, aligned with the Action Plan for Stabilization and Development, focusing on fighting terrorism, managing the humanitarian crisis, rebuilding the state, and national reconciliation.



The Minister emphasized the importance of partnerships to address security challenges and indicated that Burkina Faso counts on sincere partners and friendly countries to overcome these obstacles. She assured the new ambassadors of the Ministry’s support in their missions.



The presentation of the Figured Copies precedes the official presentation of the Letters of Credence to President Ibrahim Traore, scheduled for Friday, June 28, 2024.
