Dori: The new regional director of Sports, Youth and Employment for Liptako Sports, Mahamoudou Sawadogo, pledged on Friday in Dori to strengthen youth support, promote entrepreneurship and the socio-professional integration of youth, while working to develop sport in the region during his installation.
According to Burkina Information Agency, Mahamoudou Sawadogo was officially installed as the regional director of Sports, Youth and Employment for Liptako by the region's secretary general, Auguste Kinda, in the presence of local government officials and key stakeholders from the Liptako region. He replaces Ambroise Ouangre in this position.
In his speech, the new regional director affirmed his commitment to continuing and strengthening actions in support of the development of sport. "I am convinced that we will be able to meet the challenges ahead with the collaboration of all stakeholders," he said.
According to him, the priorities include strengthening youth support, promoting entrepreneurship and the socio-professional integration of young people, as well as promoting sport for all.
The Secretary General of the Liptako region, Auguste Kinda, congratulated the new official in charge of Sports and invited him to consolidate the achievements. He also praised the efforts of the outgoing regional director, Ambroise Ouangre, who led the organization for ten months.
According to Mr. Kinda, under his leadership, the region participated in several national competitions, notably in Ouahigouya and Bobo-Dioulasso, where it obtained honorary distinctions.
Mahamoudou Sawadogo was appointed regional director of Sports and Leisure for Liptako during the Council of Ministers meeting on February 26, 2026. He replaces Ambroise Ouangre in this position.
Mr. Sawadogo is a connoisseur of the sports world and previously held the position of provincial director, an experience that is an asset for meeting the challenges of the sector in the region.
