Seno: The New Regional Director in Charge of Agriculture for Liptako and Soum Pledges to Serve with Integrity

Dori: The new regional director of Agriculture, Water, Animal and Fisheries Resources for Liptako and Soum, Abdiasse Ye, pledged on Thursday in Dori, during his installation, to carry out his mission with loyalty, integrity and dedication.

According to Burkina Information Agency, Abdiasse Ye was installed in his new position as regional director in charge of Agriculture, Liptako and Soum by the secretary general of the Liptako region, Auguste Kinda, in the presence of administrative authorities, key stakeholders as well as actors from the agricultural and pastoral world.

Mr. Ye indicated that agriculture, livestock farming, fisheries production and water management constitute a single, interdependent and complementary system, requiring a coordinated approach to improve the performance of the rural sector. Aware of the magnitude of his mission, Abdiasse Ye sought the support of administrative authorities, technical and financial partners, as well as the staff of the management.

The new regional director also stressed that the merger of the agriculture, water, animal resources and fisheries sectors goes far beyond a simple administrative regrouping. According to him, this reform reflects a strategic vision of the government which places water at the heart of all agricultural and animal production.

The Secretary General of Liptako, Auguste Kinda, congratulated the new head of Agriculture while inviting him to show dedication in order to consolidate the gains made in the region. The staff of the regional management, for their part, praised the human and professional qualities of their new manager and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting him.

Appointed in the Council of Ministers on March 5, 2026, Abdiasse Ye takes the helm of a department born from the merger of the agriculture, water, animal and fisheries sectors.
