Seno: Construction of Hemodialysis Center at Dori Regional Hospital Nears Completion

Seno: The construction of the hemodialysis center at the Dori Regional Hospital Center is now 80% complete. The governor of the Sahel region, Abdoul Karim Zongo, inspected the site on Wednesday, noting significant progress in the ongoing construction.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the governor expressed optimism that the infrastructure could be delivered within a month. He commended the company responsible for the construction, highlighting the improved pace since his last visit in November, when progress was notably slower.

Stephane Zagre, the director general of the Dori Regional Hospital Center, provided details about the facility, stating it will be equipped with 14 generators. Of these, 12 will be used for routine sessions, while two will be reserved for emergencies. The center aims to treat kidney failure cases effectively.

The operational status of the center will enable residents of the Sahel region to receive necessary care locally. This development is expected to alleviate the financial and physical burden of traveling to Ouagadougou or other distant cities for treatment.

The construction project was initiated on October 27, 2024, by the former Minister of State, Minister of National Defence and Veterans, Brigadier General Kassoum Coulibaly, alongside the Minister of Health, Dr. Kargougou.
