Senegalese President Bassirou Diomaye Faye to Visit Burkina Faso


OUAGADOUGOU: The President of the Republic of Senegal, Bassirou Diomaye Faye, is scheduled to arrive in Ouagadougou on Thursday, May 30, 2024, for a friendship and working visit. This visit will include discussions with Burkina Faso’s President, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, focusing on strengthening bilateral cooperation and addressing mutual interests.



According to Burkina Information Agency, President Faye, who was elected in late March, has previously visited Gambia, Mauritania, Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Ghana, Cape Verde, and the Republic of Guinea. The visit aims to build on existing diplomatic and economic ties between Senegal and Burkina Faso.
