Seme Residents Thank Senator Ojienda for Fixing Dangerous Foot Bridge

Kisumu: Residents of Seme zone in Kisumu County are expressing gratitude towards Kisumu Senator, Tom Ojienda, for addressing their concerns by repairing the Oluti Lunga foot bridge, which had become a hazard for the community.

According to Kenya News Agency, the Oluti Lunga bridge had been neglected for many years, posing a significant risk, particularly to school-going children and the elderly. Seme residents, led by Benta Achieng’, voiced their worries over the bridge’s dangerous condition and the threat it posed to their safety.

Benta Achieng’ expressed appreciation for the senator’s intervention, highlighting the relief it brought to the community. “We thank the senator for coming to our rescue over the Oluti Lunga killer bridge that endangers the lives of area residents and he has hearkened to our distress call,” Achieng’ stated.

Another resident, Joash, also commended Senator Ojienda’s efforts, acknowledging his responsiveness to the community’s needs. “I sincerely thank Prof. Tom Ojienda because he has shown sensitivity to the needs of his supporters who have stood with him all through hence he has done well on fixing the dangerous Oluti Lunga foot bridge,” Joash explained.
