Security Forces Thwart Suicide Bomb Attack in Northwestern Pakistan


MOHMAND DISTRICT—Security forces in Pakistan’s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province successfully repelled an attack on a military headquarters, resulting in the deaths of four suicide bombers, according to an official army statement released Saturday.



According to Namibia Press Agency, the attack occurred at a paramilitary Frontier Corps headquarters in the Mohmand district. The military’s media wing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), reported that the four terrorists attempted to enter the camp but were effectively neutralized by security personnel before they could inflict any damage. The ISPR emphasized that the swift response of the forces prevented the intended destruction.



The military is currently conducting a clearance operation in the area to ensure no additional threats remain. The statement also reaffirmed the commitment of Pakistan’s security forces to eradicate the threat of terrorism across the nation, underscoring their determination to maintain security and stability.
