EINDHOVEN — The second Dutch evacuation flight from Lebanon successfully landed at Eindhoven airport late Saturday evening, marking another step in the ongoing efforts to bring citizens back amidst growing security concerns in the region.

According to Namibia Press Agency, the aircraft arrived just before 9 p.m. local time (1900 GMT), carrying 170 passengers, including more than 100 Dutch nationals. The flight also transported citizens from Belgium, France, Austria, and Spain, evacuated at the request of their respective governments. This follows the arrival of the first Dutch evacuation flight, which brought over 100 Dutch nationals back the previous evening.

Dutch media reports indicate that there are currently no further repatriation flights from Lebanon scheduled. Earlier in the week, the Dutch Foreign Ministry had stated that several hundred Dutch citizens were expected to be evacuated due to the deteriorating security situation in Lebanon. The Dutch government has pledged ongoing support to assist nationals seeking to return, utilizing military and commercial flights, and collaborating with other countries on repatriation efforts.
