Second Batch of Budapest-Bamako-Freetown Rally Arrives in Sierra Leone

Kambia: Second batch participants of the Budapest-Bamako-Freetown Rally have officially entered Sierra Leone through the Gbalamuya border in Kambia district on March 5, 2026.

According to Sierra Leone News Agency, four hundred ninety-two adventurers driving two hundred three vehicles, including motorbikes, are now making their way across the country. Their destination tonight is the scenic Bureh Beach, where an overnight stop awaits.

The border crossing at Gbalamuya buzzed with energy as officials warmly received the convoy. Sierra Leone, hosting the rally's historic Freetown finish, once again finds itself in the international spotlight.

Following tonight's coastal retreat, rally teams will proceed to the grand finale at Gigibonta Car Park, Lumley Beach in Freetown on Friday. An exciting reception awaits the adventurers who have completed this remarkable intercontinental journey.
