Ouagadougou: The President of the Confederation of Sahel States (AES), Captain Ibrahim Traor©, called on the populations of the three member states to strengthen their vigilance and mobilization in the face of external pressures, disinformation campaigns and challenges related to the consolidation of the confederation space.
According to Burkina Information Agency, in his message on the occasion of the second anniversary of the Confederation of Sahel States, President Traor© emphasized that the future of the organization depends on the collective capacity of the people to work more, produce more, and innovate more, while consolidating unity among the people.
He highlighted the necessity of being vigilant against disinformation campaigns and attempts which, in his view, aim to weaken the cohesion of the Confederation. Captain Traor© also urged the people to continue their efforts in work, production, and innovation, believing that the Confederation's successes depend above all on the internal commitment of citizens.
"Our happiness and success depend on ourselves and require more effort, more sacrifice for the full realization of our goals," he stated. The President of the Confederation finally invited every citizen, wherever they may be, to maintain their commitment to the common ideal of building an integrated, stable, and prosperous Sahelian space.
